Headteacher's Welcome

I am delighted to welcome you to Buckingham Primary School and Nursery. We are extremely proud of the nurturing, happy environment we provide for our children, which underpins the strong and positive relationships we build with our children, families and the wider community we serve.

Our children love learning within our exceptional grounds, which include a multi-use games area, extensive green spaces and playing fields, a forest school, a large pond and natural area, as well as an impressive performing arts room. We also offer wrap-around care from 7.30am to 6.00pm, providing families with flexible, high-quality childcare to support busy working lives.

We are proud to be at the heart of our local community and offer our children many meaningful opportunities to learn and develop within the context of their home town. From participating in local initiatives such as art exhibitions and the annual parade, to learning about trade through visits to the market, coffee shops and farms, and celebrating key events through our local churches, Buckingham provides a rich and inspiring learning environment. Our town’s history is something our children particularly enjoy exploring, both within Buckingham itself and in neighbouring areas such as Stowe Landscape Gardens. We value, respect and celebrate the community in which our children thrive.

Our dedicated and stable staff team has high aspirations for every child and works tirelessly to ensure they are happy, confident and successful learners. We want all children to flourish, becoming emotionally resilient, confident and lifelong learners who are able to be the very best versions of themselves. This is achieved through our exciting and carefully planned curriculum, which challenges and inspires all learners.

Strong home–school partnerships are central to children’s success, and we work closely with parents and carers to build positive, supportive relationships throughout each child’s learning journey.
